All patients are encouraged to have a reassessment of their hearing three years after the initial fitting of their hearing aid. If they feel that their hearing is worse at any time within this time period, they may also phone the department to make an appointment. If the patient feels that they would like a second hearing aid or would like to see a hearing therapist, please phone the department for an appointment (details below).
At each appointment, every patient will be asked for consent to have any procedures performed and also consent to have their representative / relative / friend / significant other present during the appointment.
All batteries are provided free of charge on a yearly basis.
The patient or a representative can visit Outpatients Clinic 9, UHW, during our opening hours to collect batteries. Patients can also phone our main centre to request batteries to be posted to them.
