Patient Notice 

Surgery Closure for Training

The surgery will be closed from 13:00 on the 20th June for essential staff training. Our phone lines will be open as normal the following day (21/06/2018) at 08:00 with the surgery opening at 08:20.

Please contact the Out of Hours Team on 01446 729562 should you require urgent medical advice whilst we are closed.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Please be aware that x-ray results may take 3-4 weeks to be available.

Important changes to the collection of Repeat Prescriptions

Medication Requests - NSAIDs

Because of ongoing safety concerns with NSAIDs the practice is no longer accepting prescription requests for these medicines.

These medicines belong to a group of medicines known as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs or NSAIDs. They can relieve pain or reduce inflammation.


Ibuprofen and Naproxen or, alternatives such as NSAID creams and gels (that you rub into your skin) can be purchased at your local community pharmacy. Ask your pharmacist for advice on the best treatment for you.

Patient Partner - Option now available to select a named GP when booking an appointment 

You can now select a specific GP when booking an appointment at West Quay Medical Centre on the automated service. To do this please phone the surgery on 01446 722792 and select option 1.

Subdermal Contraceptive Implants

The Practice now has clinics for the Subdermal Contraceptive Implant.  You can discuss this with any GP/Nurse Practitioner or Nurse in the first instance. The Practice also offers removal of the implant (even if it was not fitted here). Please contact us for further information.
