Primary Care Pharmacy Technician Vacancy

We are looking for a motivated forward thinking Pharmacy Technician with primary care experience to join the multi-disciplinary team at West Quay Medical Centre.
The practice team consists of 6 GP partners, a salaried GP, 2 Registrars, Clinical Pharmacist, 2 Advanced Nurse Practitioners, a trainee Nurse Practitioner, 3 Practice Nurses, 2 HCA’s and a very supportive admin and reception team.
Working as part of an established and supportive clinical team you will be undertaking a range of prescribing support duties with excellent opportunities for continued professional development, mentorship and support.
The role will be varied and you will be expected to undertake work alongside the practice pharmacist to answer medication queries and manage repeat prescription authorisations and re-authorisations, undertake medicines reconciliation and various aspects of the medicines management. You will also provide prescribing advice and support to the practice clinical team which will include undertaking audits, developing protocols, providing feedback to prescribers and monitoring improvements.
As part of your role you will also support the practice pharmacist with chronic disease management, shared care and anticoagulation medication process. As such it is essential for you to have previous primary care experience.
